The Physical Education Program is designed to teach students the knowledge and skills needed to engage in physical activity now and for a lifetime. A physically active lifestyle will lead to personal enjoyment and a healthy lifestyle. As a result students will be able to:

*Perform fundamental skills and movement patterns allowing them to participate in physical activity 

*Apply movement principles and concepts to learning and developing motor skills 

*Achieve and maintain a health-enhancing level of physical fitness  

*Demonstrate a physically active lifestyle 

*Demonstrate responsible behaviors in physical activity settings


The Health Program is designed to help students acquire an understanding of health concepts and skills that will assist them in making positive choices that promote personal, family and community health. As a result students will be able to:

Demonstrate an understanding of the concepts and behaviors that reduce health risks and enhance the health of self and others 

Demonstrate the ability to access, evaluate and use health information, products and services that influence health and well being 

Demonstrate appropriate health practices and behaviors to promote a safe community, safe home, safe school and personal safety
