Application for Admission

How to apply to 

WM Cooper Elementary Magnet School:

• Come into the Main Office between the hours of 8:30am-3:00pm to fill out a hard copy or download the application and email to tbagwell@hampton.k12.va.us or fax to (757) 825-4631

• If you are applying for multiple children; please complete a separate application for each child. Siblings of kindergarten students pulled from the lottery who are currently in grades 1-5 will be accepted if space is available.

• Applications for students for the 26/27 school year may be submitted beginning January 6, 2026.

• Applications are placed on the waitlist; in order of the date in which they were received.  

• Communication will be done by email or phone call; to the email address and primary phone number that was used/noted on the application.  

• If your student is selected the following stipulations apply:

  • • • You have five (5) business days to respond with acceptance or non-acceptance

      • You have three (3) business days after acceptance to complete the registration process

• Please understand that this application only places your child on the waitlist. It does not register, nor guarantee enrollment.

• If your child's application was not selected for the 2026-2027 school year, a new application must be submitted for the following school year in January.
