As the Science, Technology, Engineering and Math (S.T.E.M.) Elementary School for Hampton, we strive to differentiate our approach to prepare our students for the 21st century careers that await them after college.  Our students use higher order thinking skills daily as they are challenged to think outside of the box in the development of numerous hands on, engineering based projects to support the curriculum.  It is our goal to prepare all students to excel in and out of the classroom through a rigorous academic program.

At Cooper Elementary Magnet School for Technology, we believe in using technology in innovative ways to allow students to integrate technology into their learning.  The faculty and staff at Cooper are committed to giving children instructional input and opportunities to develop skills for lifelong learning and we know that, given the right instruction, all children can learn. 

The staff and faculty of Cooper EMS are dedicated to helping each and every child in the school grow academically, socially and personally. We can only accomplish this through a strong, collaborative partnership with student’s families.  Research clearly shows that a student’s success is highly influenced by the school/home partnership and we at Cooper ES value our families and their investment in their student’s experience.
